Serendipitous Sunday

Sorry or my absence Sweets! I was on a much needed vacation at Animal Kingdom Lodge in Disney World. When we got home yesterday, I noticed how stressed out everyone looked. Relaxing in a tropical paradise will really de-stress you and after 7 days of laying out by the pool I realized that many people don't follow the advice that Jesus gave to us. Vacation is a time to renew our strength in the Lord so that we can continue to be in his will.




















(This is me at the beginning o our vacation!  I think I look so tired and stressed out...the world can be a mean place)

Mark 6:30-32


30 The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
32 So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.

Jesus knew the importance of getting rest but I think this is something a lot of us have forgotten. I know that vacations can be expensive but I have staycations all the time. This is where I stay at home but de-connect myself from the world and just chillax doing the things I love (enjoying nature:) So try to relax Sweets! Have a staycation if you can't get away! Enjoy Mother's day if you have children:)

    Please keep my family in your prayers! We moved to Athens, AL on 4/16 and our home was hit by a tornado on 4/27. We'll be out of our home for 3-4 months while it is rebuilt. Not complaining...people died just 2 roads from us. Thanks and God Bless

    OH...NO...I am so sorry:( I will definitely keep your family in my prayers! I am actually doing a blanket drive for the tornado victims please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
