Well spring is just around the corner and its' proximity has me pondering new beginnings. The wells of life run deeper for human beings than most animals walking this earth and yet what do we do with our time? What do we do to renew ourselves and take advantage of the 120 years given to us?
Hubs and I were taking our normal evening stroll and we marveled at the cycle of life of the ducks and the geese that inhabit the lakes near our home. Their little lives seem so simple but I bet there is much that goes on there that we don't know about:) On said walk we noticed two male ducks fighting...yes, fighting for a particular little female duck. I guess drama does follow you everywhere? lol, I wonder if they have Jerry Springer:)
Well, this spring does signify a chance at renewal...at a new you. How do we re-new ourselves? Well I have just the recipe I made up below:)
2 overflowing cups of fresh air
A pretty new bible to discover his glorious word again
1 tablespoon of bubble bath
1 heaping of strawberry shortcake
5 cups of walking outside
3 tablespoons of pure forget the past extract..(more if needed)
1 new dress(or tie if you are a boy:)
Essence of sunshine ( can only be attained by warming one's face in the sun for several seconds)
1 and 1/2 of laughter
2 overflowing tablespoons of counting your blessings
Mix everything together, taking care to mix the extract of forget the past in first with the fresh air. Add the walking outside and essence of sunshine. Mix the bubble bath with the strawberry shortcake then add the new bible. Add the new dress and then the laughter. Once everything is mixed well together sprinkle the tablespoons of counting your blessings on top and serve to your family:)
