Beauty secrets.... part 1. (Part 2 will contain make-up etc...)
I took this picture in my bedroom one day after a long day at the office......
1. Exfoliate every week with a mixture of sugar and olive oil( half a cup and 2 tablespoons or experiment to find the version you like best)...it will keep your skin glowing! This really works and your skin will be baby soft. When people touch me they always remark at how soft my skin is:)
p.s. this is the base to all my home made scrubs. You can add anything to it! If you have rose oil add a drop..... dried lavender would be therapeutic as well.
2. Avoid too much sun...it damages your skin
3. Exercise regularly.... outside if possible, fresh air helps the body to be healthy and for you to look good.
4. Use Estee Lauder's Advanced night repair....miracle in a bottle! No blemishes ever:) gets rid of wrinkles before they begin.
5. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser...all the harsh ones strip your skin of healthy cells and oils that you need. I use a bar of Dove Soap. I had terrible acne and used everything from pro-activ to Clearasil. My skin only became clear and healthy when I stopped using harsh cleansers.
6. Think happy thoughts, a sour expression is never cute and if you can't think of anything happy...count your blessings:)
7. Whiten your teeth every 6 months! White teeth add to your beauty. You can use the trays from your dentist or Crest white strips.
8. EAT Your veggies! Your skin can only be as good as your blood and if you do not have a well balanced diet your skin (and everything else) will suffer.
9. Use a good body cream even if you don't think you need it. When you are older and have lot less wrinkles than your friends you will thank me. (before you go to bed mix your body cream with a little Vaseline... start this while you are young if possible)
10. Be careful of too much sugar, when you eat too much, the next day it can leave dark marks under your eyes (from my pageant days:)
11. Use a brush in the shower once week to stimulate your skin and Lymphatic system. This also helps with cellulite.
12. Strivectin really does work on stretch marks! Use Mederma to prevent scarring.
13. If you suffer from mild Eczema in the winter, try Aveeno Baby Eczema cream, it helps me in the middle of the winter when I get dry patches.
14. Take milk baths! I do this about once a month. I add a cup of whole milk and Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Bath to my bath and it is so soothing!
