Welcome to my blog! Thank you so much for visiting my little world. My name is Nichelle and I live in Maryland, a little state with a whole lot of culture. Maryland is known as the "Crab" state or the "Old Line State," and really both nicknames fit MD to a "T." Culturally we are a bit southern, a bit northern and a whole bunch crabby:)

Today, I went to church for the first time in 2 weeks and boy was it good! Hubby and I went out of town for Memorial to spend the weekend with his parents and then I came down with Bronchitis which has not been fun! We had a guest singer today in church, Maurette Brown, who was phenomenal. Even though I still a little sick I stood up and clapped the whole time for her. She sang this song below:




I was so blessed! Last night hubby and I went to a Sweet 16 birthday party for my dear friend Claudine's daughter. She was kind enough to let me make a cake for her daughter. The cake was so fun to make! It was delicious too! I will post pictures of it later. After church, hubby and I had a good Sunday supper of baked chicken, spinach and rice, carrots, gravy and warm buttered rolls. Normally, we visit my Mama and have supper with her but decided today to just stay home and nap since we were both tired. Tomorrow, I will post pictures of the cake I made along with a couple of recipes I think you might enjoy!
